The Louvre Museum in Paris has become the center of an international investigation after thieves executed one of the most audacious museum robberies in modern history, escaping with pieces of the French Crown Jewels valued at more than $100 million. According to investigators, the suspects gained access to a secure gallery by using a construction-style lift to reach a balcony before breaching a reinforced display case.
