China is preparing to send a team of medical specialists to Democratic Republic of the Congo to assist efforts aimed at containing the ongoing Ebola outbreak.

The mission is expected to include public health experts, epidemiologists, and laboratory specialists who will work alongside Congolese authorities and international health organizations. Their role will focus on disease surveillance, patient care, outbreak investigation, and strengthening local response capacity.

Chinese officials say the deployment reflects their commitment to international health cooperation and support for countries facing infectious disease emergencies. The team is also expected to share experience gained from previous Ebola response operations in Africa.

Health authorities continue to emphasize the importance of rapid detection, contact tracing, and community engagement as key tools for limiting the spread of the virus. International partners have warned that sustained support will be crucial to preventing the outbreak from expanding further.

The latest assistance comes as global efforts intensify to help Congo contain the disease and protect neighboring countries from potential cross-border transmission.
