Alaia Baldwin Aronow, the sister of Hailey Bieber and daughter of actor Stephen Baldwin, will avoid jail time in connection with a 2024 altercation at a Savannah, Georgia nightclub, after prosecutors offered her a spot in a pretrial diversion program, according to court records.
Aronow, 33, was formally charged in January with simple assault, simple battery, battery and criminal trespass stemming from a February 2024 incident at Club Elan in Savannah. Under Georgia’s diversion program, participants complete a series of classes and pay fines in lieu of standard prosecution; Aronow has accepted the terms and paid the associated program fee, according to the records. She is next scheduled for an arraignment on Aug. 25.
According to a police report from the time, security staff said Aronow forced her way into an employee restroom and became combative when asked to leave. One bouncer told police she pulled his hair, while another said she kicked him during the confrontation. A bartender told police Aronow threw an item at her before the situation escalated further outside the venue, where witnesses said Aronow resisted as she was removed from the premises.
Aronow initially denied throwing anything at staff before later acknowledging it and telling police she had acted in self-defense, according to the report. Her attorney, Drew Findling, said at the time that she was “embarrassed and saddened by the events of that night” and was taking steps to ensure it would not happen again.
If convicted on the battery charge, Aronow could have faced up to a year in jail. Diversion programs of this kind are typically offered to first-time or low-level offenders with limited criminal histories.
