Mercedes-Benz sues Galatasaray striker Victor Osimhen over alleged unpaid lease

On April 29, Milan saw news emerge about Nigerian footballer Victor Osimhen – now at Galatasaray –

being mentioned in legal papers from Mercedes-Benz. The claim centers on a leased vehicle, reportedly tied to his days in Italy. Unsettled payments are the core of the dispute, according to recent coverage.

Back in 2023, when Osimhen was with SSC Napoli, he signed a lease deal for a Mercedes GLE hybrid. Reports say the car wasn’t handed back once the rental period ended. Payment issues are part of it too – full amounts weren’t settled, allegedly by the Italian branch of the manufacturer’s finance division. Though details stay thin, the situation centers on unresolved terms tied to that agreement.

Word has it that officials in Milan might be looking into a claim tied to possible misuse of funds by regional statutes. Around ninety thousand euros – roughly ninety-six thousand dollars – is reportedly still unpaid.

So far, Osimhen along with his team hasn’t said anything about it in public.
Still looking into it, though a judge hasn’t decided anything yet.
